ASTROGATOR – THE DARKNESS BETWEEN (CD)
Price: $18.00

So we begin 2006 with a third trip into the dark side, this brand sonic triptych by the new UK duo Astrogator, Jez Creek and Steve Humphries. THE DARKNESS BETWEEN owes a small debt to early, improvisational TD, but goes places they only hinted at. We are now far past the Millennium, and lurching over the brink into all new territory on all levels of reality. The music of Astrogator makes reflects that. The 3 soundscapes created here flow into one another like molten metal into the cooling vat. Heavily organic, ever so slowly the energy level rises and the resulting tone clusters tumble into the melting pot. The sonic crash that results is a layered tapestry of sequences and all engulfing synthetic strum und drang that will fry your synapses.
