It has been some time since the Venezuelan synthe master Rada has released a recording. THE GOLDEN FLAME is a quantum leap forward for him both technologically and artistically. The sonic nature of the recording is stunning with it’s multi-layers of pure electronic tones, spiced by samples and occasional natural instrumental embellishments. Keyboards, percussives, sequencer, and hints of sitar and other exotica permeate the mix. Of all the electronic music I’ve heard from Latin America this ranks as the best.
